Amherst College invites applications for the Director of Class Campaigns and Amherst Fund Leadership position. The Director of Class Campaigns and Amherst Fund Leadership is a full time, year round position, job group and level SM-4. The Director of Class Campaigns and Amherst Fund Leadership is responsible for the 25th Reunion program and the strategy, management, and growth of the 1821 Society across the Amherst Fund program. The Director will work to develop strategies and to implement fundraising activities to meet Amherst Fund goals, to cultivate and steward alumni volunteers and donors. In addition, this position will build on the College’s 25th Reunion program success and find new strategies to strengthen donor participation and fundraising totals. Working closely with current staff across Advancement, this position will grow the 1821 Society—which includes the Amherst Fund’s best and most generous donors—through the careful use of data, metrics, and best practices in annual giving.
Reporting to the Director of the Amherst Fund, the Director will work closely with the Amherst Fund and Leadership Giving teams, coordinating the Advancement Office’s efforts to increase leadership giving to the Amherst Fund and work to recruit, train, and support 1821 Society class volunteers. In addition, the Director will travel to meet with 1821 Society donors and volunteers, soliciting support of the College and stewarding these individuals.
The Director will take appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participates in the College’s efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.
