Brandman University provides students with a dynamic education based on excellence and flexibility that creates lasting value and relevance for evolving careers. In 1958, Brandman was established by Chapman University – a prestigious private institution in Orange, California that was founded in 1861 and consistently ranks among the top universities in the country. Formerly named Chapman University College, Brandman’s original purpose was delivering high quality education to the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station.



Responding to growing demand, we became Brandman University, a separate accredited institution. While we remain military-friendly, our university has expanded to serve a large and diverse student population. What hasn’t changed is our continued dedication to the high quality standards of our top-tier scholastic heritage. A leader in developing the most effective adult learning formats, our academic programs deliver a high quality, traditional university education through a career-oriented curriculum offering convenient class times, accomplished instructors, individualized support services and innovative teaching environments.



Today, we are as proud of our rich academic past as we are of our technology-driven future. In 2013, U.S. News and World Report ranked Brandman’s online programs among the top ten in the nation. Nearly 70% of Brandman students graduate – a rate that is significantly higher than the national average – and our convenient network of campuses has expanded to 27 locations. With more than 53 accredited undergraduate and graduate degrees, teaching credentials and extended education programs offered online and on campus, there’s a course of study at Brandman to ignite your passion and advance your career goals.
