Senior Associate Registrar
Job Responsibilities:
The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applicants for a Senior Associate Registrar in the Registrar’s Office. This position is responsible for the planning and supervising of the college’s registration processes, to include the following:
1) Dissemination of information to faculty, staff and students.
2) Identification and scheduling of personnel to assist in process.
3) Training and supervision of personnel who assist in process.
4) Supervises registration and drop/add processes.
5) Monitors and maintains accuracy of registration data including production, collection and processing related reports.
6) Develops and maintains reports associated with registration process.
7) Manages registration for incoming freshmen.
Will serve as the deputy to the Registrar and provides supervision to the Assistant Registrars to include the readmission process for the day program, graduation, course scheduling, residency consideration, and NCAA compliance. Required to evaluate informational and operational needs, develop and catalog reports to meet needs, serves as a report writing resource person for department. Will maintain academic programs in Degree Works and serves as security officer for the Banner Student forms that are maintained by the Office of the Registrar. Serves on institutional committees in various capacities relevant to the academic standards and records operations of the college, as well as serves as liaison between the campus and the general public, parents, and alumni. Advises students, faculty, staff and general public on matters pertaining to academic policies and procedures. Must be able to train users of the shared components and student records components of the computerized Banner System (INB, Self-service, and Degree Works) as well as maintains the college's Course Inventory File and will incorporate changes as approved by the Faculty Senate.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a Master's degree, experience in student services programs AND managerial experience. Individual must have a vision of higher education administration that will lead to successful integration of technology and student centered services. Must have a working knowledge of registration procedures and an understanding of computer principles. Must be knowledgeable about the principles of student personnel and academic services. Must be able to work with traditional and non-traditional students. Must possess good interpersonal, writing, and management skills as well as knowledge and skills in the area of public relations. Occasional overnight travel for professional development is required. Assistance with graduation and matriculation processes is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Banner Student, Degree Works, and Cognos report writing is highly desirable.
