Job Summary and Requirements |
Tenure-track position in Music: The Department of Music is seeking an active scholar/conductor to direct the University Choirs and teach related courses starting August 2019. The ideal candidate will be an active scholar whose academic interests and abilities will broaden and/or deepen current departmental strengths. Candidates with an earned doctorate and college teaching experience, or with equivalent professional experience, preferred. Duties include directing the Denison University Chamber Singers, Denison University Concert Choir, and teaching other courses related to the successful candidate’s performance and scholarly interests. Options for courses may include, but are not limited to: studio performance, conducting pedagogy, theory and aural skills, musicology and ethnomusicology, writing and research methods, or interdisciplinary courses that contribute to the University’s liberal arts mission.
