Coordinate internships and other experiential learning opportunities for Emerson Los Angeles to serve all majors; advise program participants on internships; assist with identifying internship and other experiential learning opportunities; conducts site visits; acts as a liaison with site supervisors; facilitates assessment of internship sites; collaborates with team members on managing student evaluations; supports and assists with other initiatives. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Education (including hardware, software, and equipment) |
Bachelors degree. 3-5 years of experience working in a position that required understanding of various business organizational structures. 2 years advising and program administration experience in a post-secondary educational institution or comparable experience within a corporate business setting. Familiarity with the Los Angeles area and industry in Los Angeles. Strong oral and written communication skills to build relationships and deliver upon commitments. Able to handle multiple tasks with ease and have the ability to independently prioritize tasks/duties. |
Preferred/Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Education (including hardware, software, and equipment) |
Experience in developing and supporting student internships or related experience within an academic support unit at a higher education institution. Some employer relations experience preferred. Market knowledge of and experience within the entertainment industry and various other organizations. Master’s degree preferred. |
Required Prior Work Experience |
At least 3 years of experience in developing and supporting student internships or building relationships within an academic support unit at a higher education institution, or comparable experience in an HR or similar unit in a corporate setting. |
