Job Description |
Participate in the construction, transportation, installation, and strike of scenery and props for Emerson Stage Productions and the Department of Performing Arts. Depending on the applicant’s skills and interests, this can include learning and practicing many different skills: carpentry, cabinetry, metalwork, rigging, sewing, upholstery, and more. Employees must have class schedules that allow for uninterrupted work periods of at least three hours. They also will be expected to comply with policies and procedures that are set out in the Student Employment Office’s Handbook for Student Employees, including the responsibility to complete online timesheets on schedule. |

Preferred Qualifications |
Experience and training in the use of power tools, in construction, or in crafts. |
Physical Demands |
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Some tasks may require working at heights. Some may require extended periods of bending or kneeling. Personal protective equipment (respiratory, eye & ear protection) may be required. |
