The Psychology Department within the College of Arts & Sciences is seeking to hire a diverse, talented and dynamic Analyst Programmer, Associate on a part-time (.5) basis to aid in the development of software systems for text mining and data science applications in scientific research (particularly neuroscience). The scope of responsibilities will include these specific and essential duties but is not limited to the following,

Interest in developing software systems including web applications, to support the day to day work of scientists

Experience with the Python programming language

Relevant knowledge and working experience with machine learning tools and algorithms, know how to use git and github for code maintenance and sharing, and have knowledge of basic college mathematics (through calculus). Statistical training is not strictly required but is preferred

Experience or training in the R and/or Javascript computer languages in addition to Python, and knowledge of web application development with a framework (tools such as Meteor, Flask, node.js, or web2py, for instance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
