Fellow (Post Doc)
General Description of Position: |
The Akhunov laboratory in the Department of Plant Pathology seeks a highly motivated candidate to work on the project integrating multidimensional datasets including genomic variation, gene expression, metabolomics, ionomics and phenotypes to study the major factors contributing to wheat end-use quality traits. The project will utilize diversity panels and segregating mapping populations of wheat to identify genes and pathways affecting quality traits and intermediate molecular phenotypes. The acquired information will be used to establish system-level relationship between genotypes and phenotypes to develop improved models to predict quality traits in wheat. |
