Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to serve in the position of Director/Executive Director of Major Gifts in the Advancement Division. This is a full time, 12-month position. Salary will be commensurate with experience and a generous benefits package is available.
The Director/Executive Director of Major Gifts manages Kenyon College’s Major Gifts program and team of gift officers. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Development, the Director/Executive Director develops and implements plans and goals; manages, mentors and guides front line fundraisers; and is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of 100-120 prospects capable of six to seven figure gifts.
This individual will develop an annual strategic plan for the major gifts program that identifies specific annual goals in support of an overall plan for the comprehensive campaign. He/she will ensure a system for the regular implementation of double and triple asks, and collaboration with staff managing reunion giving.
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of major gift fundraising experience, experience managing staff and the ability and willingness to travel extensively. The ideal candidate will have experience managing front line fundraisers, success in securing gifts of 7 figures or more and program development/management expertise.
