Assistant Professor of Statistics (tenure-track position to start in September 2019)
Lawrence University, a selective undergraduate liberal arts college and conservatory of music located in Appleton, Wisconsin, invites applications for a full-time tenure track position in statistics to begin September 1, 2019. This person will join the present statistician along with four mathematicians and two computer scientists in our department. We seek excellent teachers who are passionate about working with undergraduates in a liberal arts setting while actively engaging in high-quality research. Statisticians from all research areas are encouraged to apply. Teaching load is two courses per term for three ten-week terms a year, including participation in Lawrence’s flagship Freshman Studies program on a rotating basis. Ability and desire to lead undergraduate research projects and otherwise connect scholarship with teaching will be looked upon favorably. Must have a Ph.D. in statistics by September 2019.
