Duties and Responsibilities |
The Department of Cancer Biology at Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine (SSOM) invites applications for multiple tenure-track positions at the ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE or full PROFESSOR level. The SSOM is undergoing rapid growth in all its basic science departments and we seek innovators to advance cancer-focused studies that can integrate both foundational and clinical investigations as part of Loyola University Chicago’s initiative to significantly expand its nationally recognized cancer programs in partnership with Trinity Health. We are looking to recruit tenured and tenure-track research faculty to join our newly created Department of Cancer Biology, whose research efforts will integrate with our clinical oncology strengths in the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and laboratory research programs in the areas of Cancer Immunotherapy, Cancer Signaling, and Cancer Epigenetics & Gene Regulation. Complementary research areas might include investigations focused on oncologic processes and mechanisms, cancer cause and/or prevention and therapeutic discovery. Qualifications |
Individuals with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. at any academic rank with extramural funding are welcome to apply for this full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty appointment. Funded, principal investigators at the Professor or Associate Professor level will be preferred. |
