The Department of Psychology offers a unique environment for conducting state-of-the are research with many top scientists in the field. the position will involve both teaching Psychology 295 (Data Analysis in psychological Research) and conducting original research on projects related to implicit bias and meta-science under the supervision of William J. Chopik, M. Brent Donnellan, Richard E. Lucas, and Debroah A. Kashy.
Required Degree
Doctorate
Minimum Requirements
PhD in a relevant field such as psychology, sociology, or quantitative research methods before starting the position. Experience teaching statistics at both the undergraduate level. Must have been sole/lead instructor for at least one statistics course.
Advanced knowledge of techniques for modeling decision-making processes (e.g., dual process and drift diffusion models)
Familiarity with both Null Hypothesis Significance Testing and Bayesian approaches to data analysis.
Demonstrated commitment to open science and replication (e.g., experience conducting replications, crowdsourced research projects (e.g., Many Labs, Pipeline Projects), pre-registration).
Demonstrated experience with scientific communication through publications and presentations.
Desired Qualifications
Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
Expertise in advanced statistical analyses including structural equation modeling and multi-level modeling. Substantive interests in and experience conducting research related to implicit bias.
