Position Summary

The Department of Psychology at Michigan State University is seeking a clinical scientist with expertise in Multicultural Psychology/Diversity Science for a tenure system appointment in Clinical Psychology at the rank of assistant professor effective August 16, 2018. We have a particular interest in individuals whose research is interdisciplinary and has applications for clinical psychology broadly defined. Candidates should conduct research that addresses or incorporates issues relevant to diverse groups and demonstrate the ability to mentor and support students from diverse backgrounds. The successful applicant will be expected to obtain extramural funding, as well as be a productive scholar, an effective teacher and mentor for our undergraduate and graduate programs, and progress toward being eligible for licensure as a PhD-level clinical psychologist. MSU offers competitive faculty salaries and benefits and Psychology professors have 2-1 teaching load per year.
