New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) was founded in 1955 by a team of visionaries who wanted to break new ground in higher education. They believed in the revolutionary concept that there could be a balance between career training and liberal arts e

ducation. More than 50 years later, NYIT has achieved global reach, bringing technology-infused, professional education to students on several continents.

NYIT has three campuses in the New York metropolitan area. Two are on Long Island, a suburban region east of New York City. The Dorothy and Alexander Schure Old Westbury campus is nestled among several former estates in the historic Gold Coast region of Nassau Countyís north shore. The Central Islip campus is located on Suffolk County's south shore, just minutes from several Atlantic Ocean beaches. The third NYIT campus is located in the New York City borough of Manhattan, just a few blocks from Lincoln Center and Central Park.
