Position Summary
Dr. MacKeigan seeks a faculty level researcher with a strong background in cell biology, and exceptional technical expertise in microscopy, computation, sequencing, and genomics. This individual will help drive the MacKeigan lab's diverse research portfolio by providing technical expertise, advanced analytical skills, and effective mentoring.
In the short term, the Research Assistant Professor will ensure that laboratory protocols and best practices are effectively implemented in the new GRRC location, while providing scientific leadership to lab members. The long term goals for this position are to make substantial scientific contributions through successful grant proposals, high impact publications, multidisciplinary collaborations, and industry partnerships. A Research Assistant Professor with the qualities and skills highlighted above will position the MacKeigan Lab for success in the pursuit of sponsored funding and publications. Additionally, this position will provide important scientific expertise for current and future research projects, while also playing a critical role in the lab's leadership, culture, and commitment to excellence.
