Alamance Community College is seeking a Nurse Aide Instructor who will be responsible for working with the department head in teaching all aspects of the Nurse Aide Certificate Program.
Position will include evening classes - Example of Duties

Assists with the planning of class, lab and clinical
Has a teaching assignment in class, lab and clinical
Meets and maintains standards and criteria required by NCDHSR
Participates in professional development activities
Serves on the Nursing Advisory Committee - Typical Qualifications

Associate Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Nursing, with an unencumbered license to practice in North Carolina. The applicant must have at least 2 years of work experience as a registered nurse (4000 hours). The applicant must meet at least one of the following:
a. Completion of a course in teaching adults
b. Experience in teaching adults
c. Experience in supervision nurse aides
American Heart Association BLS provider CPR
Licenses and/or certifications used for credentialing purposes must be kept current by the employee, unless noted otherwise.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Nursing
• One year teaching experience

Applicants for full-time faculty positions are to submit a statement on their philosophy of teaching and learning as it relates to the community college setting. Applicants called for an interview will be asked to present a fifteen-minute lesson on a subject chosen by the screening committee.
