The Instructional Designer administers Brightspace (D2L) and manages integrations, such as plagiarism detection software, test proctoring systems, and textbook publisher integrations. The Instructional Designer provides technical support to faculty and students in online and blended course offerings. The Instructional Designer works closely with the Director of eLearning to provide instructional design support for faculty. The Instructional Designer works closely with the Director, Deans, Department Chairs, Student Services, Academic Support, and Technology Services to identify and implement technologies and best practices of eLearning for face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses. The Instructional Designer assists the Director with conducting assessment and evaluation of activities relevant to the programs including faculty training, support, and course improvement. The Instructional Designer works collaboratively with the Director and academic leaders and faculty to create and deliver innovative, high quality, and technology-enhanced instruction that promotes academic excellence, enhances student learning, and increases access. The Instructional Designer reports to the Director of eLearning. |

The Instructional Designer is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of D2L, the college’s Learning Management System (LMS). |
Minimum Qualifications and Training |
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. |
Preferred Qualifications and Training |
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or related field. |
Work Hours | Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
