The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Center at Clemson University invites applicants for a non-tenure track, full time, 12 month Professor of Practice position to begin Fall 2018. Candidates with extensive experience in Product Lifecycle Management and Computer Aided Design business processes are being sought, including practical expertise in implementing and using Dassault Systemes and Siemens Product Lifecycle Management software products. The individual is expected to actively contribute to the Product Lifecycle Management Center’s mission of teaching, research, and industry support on these systems and tool sets. The candidate will lead Product Lifecycle Management workshops and short courses, undertake research projects using Product Lifecycle Management software, and help strengthen community outreach including our Industrial Consortium.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a MS and/or P.h.D. degree(s) in engineering or a closely related field. They should have five plus years of practical PLM process and software application experience plus excellent communication and organization skills. The dynamic self-starting individual must be comfortable developing and teaching PLM course materials to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as continuing educational professionals in both classroom and virtual settings. PLM software research and development projects will be conducted in an individual as well as collaborative setting with students, faculty, and staff. Some travel will be expected primarily within the State of South Carolina.
