Notre Dame of Maryland University is a Catholic, liberal arts college committed to educating women as leaders. The School of Pharmacy at Notre Dame of Maryland opened in 2009. In addition to the traditional Women's College, Notre Dame educates women and men at the undergraduate level through its Accelerated College and Weekend College. Graduate programs in education, management and other fields serve both women and men.
Location
Located on the North Charles Street college corridor in northern Baltimore, Notre Dame's beautiful campus is situated on 58 wooded and landscaped acres in a residential area. The College also holds classes at sites in Anne Arundel, Harford and Saint Mary's counties for part-time students.

Programs challenge students to strive for intellectual and professional excellence, to build inclusive communities, to engage in service to others, and to promote social responsibility.
The College's values-centered curriculum emphasizes the student's total development: intellectual, professional, social and spiritual. Notre Dame students and faculty members come from a variety of backgrounds, bringing diverse perspectives to the academic community.
History
Founded and sponsored by the School Sisters of Notre Dame (SSNDs), Notre Dame was established as a four-year college in 1895. The Notre Dame of Maryland University was the first Catholic college for women in the United States to award the four-year baccalaureate degree.
Noncredit Programs
The English Language Institute (ELI), which opened in 1983, offers English as a second language and American culture classes. The Renaissance Institute, a noncredit membership program for students age 50 and older, rounds out the College's educational offerings.
Graduates
The College's 17,000 graduates are leaders in a full range of professional fields and are important contributors to family and community life throughout the country and the world.
