POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Librarian’s primary responsibility is to provide circulation, reference services and library instruction to the Pacific Oaks academic community. The Assistant Librarian serves as the first point of contact to the Library, manages day to day operations of the library, provides reference services to patrons, and responds to general information requests received by the campus Library. The individual will be responsible for the library’s information literacy program through orientations, library instruction classes/or workshops and creating subject or course specific library guides. The Assistant Librarian is able to communicate and work effectively with a diverse campus population while also collaborating with faculty and staff.
This position is located in Pasadena and requires evening and weekend coverage along with travel to the College’s off-site instructional sites in Southern and Northern California. The Assistant Librarian reports directly to the Assistant Director of Library Services.
