POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dean of the School of Cultural & Family Psychology is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and supportive environment and culture that synthesizes the intellectual, social, emotional, and professional development of our students in a holistic way. This position provides school leadership, oversight, analysis, and communication with an emphasis on the School of Cultural & Family Psychology. This position performs complex administrative tasks and will be under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative, independent judgment, and decision-making.
This position is located in Pasadena and reports directly to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Knowledge of the discipline of Cultural and Family Psychology from organizational, societal, theoretical, environmental, cultural, and institutional perspectives.
- Serves in a leadership capacity for program chairs, faculty and students in the School.
- Develops, articulates, and presents the vision for the School in collaboration with the School Academic team. Translates this vision into strategic goals by developing an academic program assessment plan related to College mission and strategic planning objectives.
- Manages all programs, all modalities including online, and all locations.
- Work with Core Faculty to assess and improve student learning outcomes over time, for all programs and modalities.
- Works collegially with academic lead administrators and core faculty to ensure collaboration and successf
