Job Description:
POSITION: Lecturer of Management
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time, non-tenure line appointment beginning August 2016. Renewable for an additional (second) year.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. or DBA in business administration, marketing or related field is preferred; ABD candidates, or an MBA with teaching experience, are also welcome to apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicant will teach principles of marketing and upper level courses in marketing and management. Ability to teach operations management preferred. Candidates should be committed to undergraduate teaching and have an understanding of and appreciation for the liberal arts environment. Preference will be given to those candidates who can contribute to key College initiatives in sustainability, health sciences, civic engagement, or global education.
The Department of Economics, Accounting, and Management at Central College offers majors in accounting [4], business management [5], and economics [6] In collaboration with the mathematics/computer science department, the department also offers majors in actuarial science [7] and information systems [8]. The faculty at Central interact in an academically stimulating and congenial environment with a focus on student success. Over 96% of graduates within these majors are employed within 6 months of graduation and 94% of students complete at least one internship before graduation.
