Gloucester County College (GCC), which marked its 46th year of service in 2013, is a publicly supported two-year institution, fully accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. During the past four decades, GCC has grown to become a valuable asset to the South Jersey community providing quality academic programs, cultural enrichment and professional development.
Ranked as one of Community College Week’s top 40 fastest growing community colleges in the nation, GCC serves more than 6,800 full- and part-time students offering over 70 academic programs in a full spectrum of career fields. A number of selective admission programs related to the allied-health field, including nursing, diagnostic medical sonography (DMS) and nuclear medicine technology (NMT) are a popular choice among students seeking an education in healthcare. In addition, GCC’s Division of Continuing Education provides various educational, career training and personal enrichment courses, as well as outreach programs, to community residents. The College also maintains a well-rounded cultural, artistic and sports calendar of events.
GCC awards both certificate and associate degrees leading to immediate career and transfer opportunities. With an extensive record of articulation agreements with four-year colleges and universities, graduates are able to transfer seamlessly into baccalaureate and master degree programs. Students also have the option to complete advanced degrees without leaving the GCC campus and the opportunity to take advantage of dual acceptance partnerships with participating area universities.
Located on 250-acres in Sewell, New Jersey, GCC’s expanding main campus, including the recent construction of a 24,000 square-foot University Center, also houses a Continuing Education Center that provides customized training and safety instruction to the business community.
