The Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience is housed in a modern, fully equipped research building on the Stratford Campus (formerly part of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). The department is expanding its commitment to train medical and graduate students in the anatomical sciences and is currently looking to fill a position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek an accomplished educator whose background includes extensive experience in teaching gross anatomy and neuroanatomy to medical and graduate students. The successful candidate will participate as lecturer and laboratory instructor for team-taught courses in human gross anatomy and neuroanatomy for the Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM) and Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS). The successful individual will also be expected to develop a program of scholarly activity focused on area(s) of his/her expertise and to serve on committees as assigned, particularly those concerned with curriculum development and assessment and student performance.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Anatomy or a related field, a record of excellence in teaching and publications, and the ability to apply new pedagogical approaches to medical and graduate school teaching including problem based learning and on-line delivery of lecture and laboratory material. The successful candidate will join a productive and highly collaborative research and teaching faculty.
