Educational and Experience Requirement |
Associates degree in related field. Bachelors degree in a related field preferred. Three years of experience in communications, recruitment or related field. Certifications may be required. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered. |
Nature & Purpose of Position |
Performs advanced specialist duties in communications and recruitment for the College of Education. |
Primary Responsibilities |
Performs specialist duties. Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and monitors the College of Education (COE) communication strategy. Researches and writes articles announcing accomplishments, events, and general news and information related to COE. Writes content for the COE website, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other websites. Assists with organizing and conducting COE related events. Assists faculty with implementing social media-based instructional strategies for distance learning. Coordinates orientation sessions for groups of incoming new students. Recruits high school or community college students and gives presentations to small or large groups. Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Schedules appointments and activities. Coordinates programs for current or prospective students. Performs other related duties as assigned. |

Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature. Position requires excellent writing and interpersonal skills. |
