Position Information

This is a hourly intermittent, temporary position anticipated to end on or before 06/30/2019. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. This position within Student Health Services, under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor or designee, conducts a variety of clinical laboratory tests which provide the medical staff with the necessary data for the detection, diagnosis and treatment of various diseases and other conditions found in a Student Health Center setting. Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $32.75 per hour. CSU Classification Salary Range: $19.92 - $82.39 per hour. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. This salary range is inclusive of the CSU/CSUEU collective bargaining agreement (CBA) provision that per diem employees hired on an hourly/intermittent basis receive an additional 29% above the regular hourly base rate. |

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or equivalent from an accredited institution or equivalent post-secondary education, training and experience as defined by the California Division of Laboratory Science or combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.
