Position Information

This is for two (2) part-time (0.5 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary positions anticipated to end on or before one year from date of hire. These positions are designated non-exempt under FLSA and are eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. The purpose of the advising assistant is to assist the director and support office activities and administrative tasks, support the peer mentor program, and provide general advising information to all students with specific advising for 1st and 2nd year pre-health students. Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $1,750 per month. CSU Classification Salary Range: $1,656 - $2,025 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. Minimum Qualifications Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field. Specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown below may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
