Position Information

This recruitment will be used to establish a pool of candidates for current and future hourly (intermittent), temporary appointments. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Work schedule to be arranged. Incumbents within Student Health Services, under the direction of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner or physician, perform a wide range of technical, skilled and paraprofessional nursing duties and patient care activities within the scope of practice for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Other duties may include participation in other campus programs pursuant to the mission of San Diego State University, e.g. health education outreach programs and immunization campaigns. Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $21.63 per hour. CSU Classification Salary Range: $21.63 - $38.21 per hour. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. This salary range is inclusive of the CSU/CSUEU collective bargaining agreement (CBA) provision that per diem employees hired on an hourly/intermittent basis receive an additional 29% above the regular hourly base rate. |

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a state approved vocational nursing program in an accredited school of vocational nursing or equivalent training and experience as defined by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT).
