Position Information

This is for two (2) full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary positions anticipated to end on or before 06/30/2019, with the possibility of reappointment and/or permanency. These positions are designated exempt under FLSA and are not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. Reporting to the Director of Prospect Research, the Prospect Researcher acts as a key member of the Prospect Research and Management Team and is responsible for all aspects of prospect research and management for assigned Development staff. The primary responsibilities are to identify prospects, build prospect pools for identified priorities, and assist in the proper management of prospect portfolios for assigned fundraisers. The Prospect Researcher will facilitate this process through the development of rating systems, management and oversight of data, production of lists for staff and volunteers, focused research reports and maintenance of active files on the current cultivations and solicitations of assigned Development staff. Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $4,584per month. CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,897 - $6,846 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
