About the Position
|

Reporting to the Director of the Valley Foundation School of Nursing and working collaboratively with the Curriculum Coordinator, Undergraduate Coordinator and Clinical Scheduler, the Project Coordinator works independently under minimal supervision to support Scheduling, Registration, the BSN undergraduate Application process, and clinical requirements for students and faculty.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: -Prepares student application files and is directly responsible for 1st formal and detailed review of BSN applications per semester (2nd review is done by student affairs committee members). -Corresponds directly with students concerning missing data, reviews process with faculty committee each semester, sends letters to students and follows up on admission status. -Prepares 1st version of tracks as planning tool for Director/Curriculum Coordinator. -Maintains reviews, and revises student and master tracks throughout the academic year. -Schedules classes and clinical sections in coordination with clinical scheduler. -Runs scheduler extract, troubleshoots PeopleSoft errors with ACAD SCHED. Prepares ACAD SCHED forms. -Works with registrar to get students coded for special sessions registration; responsible for sending students registration instructions and add codes for special sessions (Masters) courses. Assigns add codes during 1st 2 weeks of semester and troubleshoots registration issues for students. -Prepares add-drop packets, semester student lists for add-drop and orientation activities (Fall and Spring) -Supports Curriculum Coordinator for faculty retreat and CEU programs. |

Education and Experience
|
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined and three years of related office work experience.

-Some College Education
-Experience with Micro Office Suite, Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint, Publisher/Google docs, Filemaker Pro, Docusign -Experience with Nursing CAS -Experience with HESI - standardized testing -Experience with scheduling and clinical placement (CCPS) -Experience with catering and organizing events -Experience in directing students to appropriate resources on campus |

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
|

-Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
-Thorough mastery of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. -Thorough knowledge of CMS/PeopleSoft functionality/reports. Ability to research issues related to schedule conflicts. -Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft reporting functions. Ability to generate and customize reports for semester chairs, director, curriculum coordinator, graduate and undergraduate coordinators. -Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems such as PC or Macintosh computers, with experience in Google mail and calendaring, Canvas, CMS Financial Systems, MS Office, databases, spreadsheets, and graphics programs. -Ability to apply project management skills to assess clinical site needs and adjust schedule/disseminate information to students and faculty. -Ability to perform business math, analyze budgetary data, and make accurate projections requiring some inference. -Ability to effectively write and present reports. -Excellent oral and written communication skills. -Ability to assist students with registration issues and work in coordination with Registrar and Bursar. |
