Job Description
Major/Essential Duties of Job:
- PhD in Physics, Astronomy, or a closely related field is required
- Will be expected to carry out a vigorous, externally-funded research program including research projects for undergraduate and graduate students
- Advise students
- Participate fully in the teaching program of the department
- Teach astronomy, physics and computational courses
Occasional Duties:
- Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
- PhD in Physics, Astronomy, or closely related field
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Significant postdoctoral research experience in computational physics/astrophysics is preferred
