The Financial Aid Processing Coordinator, under general supervision, implements and maintains Financial Aid Management systems to process financial aid for special academic programs. Supervises Financial Aid processing staff for applicants and works with the Director to coordinate and process financial aid applicants.
SUMMARY:
The Financial Aid Processing Coordinator, under general supervision, implements and maintains Financial Aid Management systems to process financial aid for special academic programs. Supervises Financial Aid processing staff for applicants and works with the Director to coordinate and process financial aid applicants.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees process of financial aid applications.
- Works directly with Banner setup and implementation.
- Coordinates setups with any other financial aid management systems.
- Coordinates and troubleshoots processing issues within Banner and other financial aid management systems.
- Coordinates processing for financial aid applicants enrolled in special programs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Three years of related experience. Knowledge of working with traditional and non-traditional programs and setting up financial aid systems and stand-alone financial aid management systems.
- Ability to: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated professional work experience in a financial aid office, banking environment or the student loan industry is preferred. A working knowledge of automated financial aid processing systems is preferred.
