The University of Denver is a medium-size (12,000 students) private university located in a thriving metropolis at the base of the Rocky Mountains. The Department of Biological Sciences at the University focuses on two areas of research and teaching; 1) Cell and Molecular Biology including biophysics, intracellular signaling and trafficking, intermolecular interactions, and cell physiology and 2) Ecology, Biodiversity including behavioral ecology, plant-insect interactions, conservation biology, restoration ecology and evolution. The department offers undergraduate majors of study including Biology (B.A./B.S.), Molecular Biology (B.S./B.S.), Ecology and BioDiversity (B.A./B.S.) and Integrated Sciences (B.A.). A concentration in Cognitive Neurosciences (B.A./B.S.) is also offered in conjunction with the Department of Psychology. At the graduate level, the department offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees with a research emphasis in either of the two areas described above. Position Summary
The Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the Department of Biological Sciences invites applicants for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to begin September 1, 2019. We are seeking candidates with research interests in any area of cell biology.
