With approximately 300 music majors, the Lamont School of Music (www.du.edu/lamont) is a highly selective and nationally renowned program focusing on performance at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The institution is an accredited member of NASM and is distinguished by its exceptional faculty who record, tour, perform, publish, and present scholarly work and compositions locally, nationally, and internationally. Lamont offers Bachelor of Music degrees in Performance, Composition, Jazz Studies, and Commercial Music; the Bachelor of Arts in Music; Master of Music degrees in Performance, Composition, Conducting and Pedagogy; Master of Arts degrees in Music Theory, Musicology; and other certificates and Artist Diplomas. The program resides in the highly acclaimed Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts and is home to the Rafael Méndez Summer Brass Institute.
