The University of Denver has a proud athletic tradition that compliments the school's academic endeavors. Position Summary
The Swim Instructor position is non-benefited, part-time and not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year. This position is responsible for teaching swim classes in a professional manner and maintaining a safe pool environment. The job responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain a safe environment for participants and parents.
- Instruct swimming skills in group and private settings to participants of all ages and abilities.
- Evaluate program participants according to DU Learn to Swim standards.
- Adapt teaching approaches to the experience, ability and culture of Learn to Swim participants so they can meet lesson objectives.
- Complete and submit program and participant progress reports as required.
- Communicate with parents and/or participants regarding participant's progress and how they may be able to assist in the participant's progress.
- Provide excellent customer service to all Ritchie Center guests.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current or previous CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
