Job Description: | The Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a Chief of Hospital Medicine at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. The Chief is responsible for overseeing the educational, safety, administrative and professional development initiatives within the division. In addition, s/he is accountable for hospital quality outcome measures. The Chief may perform inpatient-attending duties, including consultations, teaching and supervising medical students and residents, quality and safety research. The Division of Hospital Medicine is a dynamic and diverse division of 47.8 clinical and administrative FTEs with strong initiatives in quality and safety, long-term acute care, hospital-based discharge clinic, and surgical co-management. We enjoy a close collaborative relationship with UF Health Shands Hospital and pride ourselves in professional and cooperative interdisciplinary care. Minimum Requirements: |
Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and possess an active Florida Medical License. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Three to five years of administrative leadership experience in an academic-based hospitalist program strongly preferred. |
