Job Description: |
This position is located in the Department of Health Outcomes and Policy and serves as a Research Coordinator. Responsibilities include: (1) Facilitate interpretation, writing of statistical results and program recommendation for maternal, and child health. Write reports and develop complex charts, tables, and presentations. (2) Assists with coordinating the analysis of data, including dataset/database management, data quality control, data analysis, and synthesis (3) Research, organize, write and manage a portfolio of grants, ranging from small to complex funders related to maternal and child health. (4) Oversee the collection, analysis, and dissemination of research data. Report program data and progress to study investigators. Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive databases and files related to the program. (5) Track and maintain data on pregnant women and newborns. (6) Assure compliance with all relevant IRB and other regulatory agency requirements. Verify grant complies with grant source requirements. Provide assistance and tracking of grant and contract mechanisms, including funding announcement, internal management of proposals, internal review and awarding functions. (7) May serve as liaison between the Family Data Center (FDC) and outside agencies and the general public. (8) Maintain program timeline including tracking deadlines for program and grant components such as submission deadlines, funding cycles, timelines for annual reports, etc. (9) Identify problems or obstacles in the system/procedures related to implementation of the research protocols as well as problems related to the administration of the funding proposals/funded proposals and communicate to the study investigator. (10) Acts as liaison between the Principal Investigator, the Co-Investigator, the Contractor Manager, the Research Coordinator Ill, and other University faculty and staff, as needed. (11) Develop strategic relationships with community based organizations that provide maternal and/or child health related services to Medicaid populations.

Advertised Salary: |
$45,000-$60,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
Minimum Requirements: | Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Open to current UF Employees only. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Data utilization, complex problem solving,critical thinking, and resource management. Must have exceptional organizational and networking skills, the ability to prioritize and work on various projects simultaneously . Ability to work independently and collaborate with external constituencies. Experience with maternal and child health research proposal, research conference and panel presentations. Excellent writing and editing skills required.Ability to establish rapport with key players, and work under pressure with team to meet deadlines. |
