We are seeking a candidate to join a vibrant and dedicated faculty in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Massachusetts Boston beginning September 1, 2019. The candidate will assume a nine-month, tenure-track appointment in the Counseling and School Psychology Department, which houses APA Accredited Programs in Counseling and School Psychology, MCAC-Accredited Programs in School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling and DESE and NASP-Accredited Masters and Ed.S. Programs in School Psychology.
We seek candidates with research foci and research programs in sociocultural concerns related to culture, race and/or ethnicity, which may include healthcare disparities; the impact of systemic and structural racism and discrimination; intersectional concerns; and/or prevention and intervention efforts to address mental health inequities affecting racial and ethnic minority communities. We seek candidates who approach research with developmental, preventative, systemic, and non-psychopathologizing frameworks informing their work, and who pursue their research with an aim to build on strengths and human potential. Preferred applicants will have an outstanding record or promise of exceptional research productivity and extramural funding.
