General Summary of Position:
The International Office Assistant will assist the International Services Assistant to provide professional administrative support to all professional staff of the International Students & Scholars Office (ISSO). This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a professional level part-time position in the International Student & Scholar Advising field. The right candidate will become a Designated School Official (DSO) after appropriate training on the "basics" of F-1 student regulations, which would lead to SEVIS access, ability to provide preliminary immigration advice, and light SEVIS processing.
Job Duties:
-Assist the International Services Assistant with administrative tasks as needed and assigned
-Coordinate office email, office phone, and maintain office calendar
-Coordinate Airport Transportation for incoming students for spring and fall semesters
-Assist in scheduling appointments and events
-Provide Social Security Letters to eligible international students
-Assist in maintaining ISSO website, and routine data entry
-Create interactive videos to improve office efficiency
-Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- HS Diploma or GED/equivalent
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Comfortable with all standard Office Computer applications
- Able to maintain an environment that is welcoming to persons of all backgrounds, nationalities, and roles via phone email and with personal interactions

Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic familiarity with SEVIS and F-1 regulations preferred

This is a temporary, part-time, non-unit, non-benefited position (25 hours/week for up to 11 months).
