Position Summary: The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Pediatric Infectious Disease physician. This position will place a strong emphasis on research activities focused on infectious diseases. Preference will be shown for candidates with: 1) considerable interest in research; 2) extramural funding or potential to gain extramural funding. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Responsibilities will include preparation of clinically relevant publications and application and securing of grant funding. This candidate will be directly involved in the education of medical students and residents while providing outstanding patient care to the children at North Carolina Children's Hospital.
Education Requirements: MD or MD/PhD trained and Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases
Qualification and Experience: Preference will be shown for candidates with: 1) considerable interest in research; 2) extramural funding or potential to gain extramural finding.
