Duties: The selected candidate for the position will be responsible for organizing ongoing research and development efforts on the genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics of Alzheimer's Disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. Duties include (1) organize and participate in analysis and data processing efforts from genome-wide association and high-throughput whole-genome/whole-exome sequencing studies for Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders; (2) oversee collection and management genomic annotation data for NIA Genetics of Alzheimer's Disease Data Storage Site (NIAGADS) Genomics Database; (3) coordinate and participate in the development and testing of genomics research software and resource development at Wang Lab.___
Qualifications: Masters degree and 2 years work experience. Ph.D. or equivalent degree in genetics, biology, bioinformatics, statistics, or other related fields strongly preferred.
Experience with management and analysis of genome-wide association studies, next-generation sequencing data, and use of public genomics databases required. Familiarity with R, MATLAB, SAS, C/C++, SQL, or web development preferred.
