Job Description:
The Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Civic and Urban Engagement provides students with a continuum of rich, interdisciplinary opportunities for experiential learning through the development of resources and programs that will positively impact the Springfield community.
The Assistant to the Director will work closely with the Director of the Hagen Center in providing support for the Hagen Center's strategic initiatives. Specifically, the Assistant to the Director will have responsibility for the following:
- Spring/summer internship programs
- 50/50 student employment program
- Data management, assessment and evaluation
- Marketing and public relations
- Website management
- Liaison to community organizations
- Provide general support for the Hagen Center as needed.
Requirements:
An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred. Must have excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Should be comfortable working independently for maximum results and have the ability to establish rapport easily with a wide variety of people. Preference for candidates with proficiency in information technology programs including but not limited to: Word, Excel, Publisher or In Design, Photoshop, Adobe and Outlook. We are seeking candidates who have knowledge of Wittenberg and the Greater Springfield community.
