Job Description:
Wittenberg University is seeking applications and nominations for an Assistant Professor/Professor or Practice who will also serve as the Coordinator of the Nursing Simulation Learning Center.
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the candidate will serve as the lead teaching faculty (70%) and resource coordinator (30%) of Wittenberg's new Nursing Simulation Learning Center. This faculty member will have responsibility for evaluating student readiness for clinical experiences; and for developing, implementing, and evaluating learning activities which support the nursing curriculum. The faculty member will contribute to nursing program governance and efforts to improve program quality. The position will begin January 2, 2019.
Requirements:
Minimum required credentials:
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio or eligibility for Ohio licensure.
- 2-5 years' experience teaching undergraduate nursing.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and learning consistent with the University's mission and goals.
Preferred credentials:
- Nursing simulation certification.
- 2-5 years' experience teaching and managing a university nursing learning laboratory.
- Doctoral degree in nursing.
- Experience teaching baccalaureate and graduate nursing courses.
- Experience with inter-professional, online, distance, and hybrid instruction.
- Experience with program development, curriculum design, program review, and accreditation.
