Purpose of Job |
The Residence Hall Manager is a full-time, 12 month live out position responsible for the daily operations of assigned area. The RHM works with residence life staff to promote and enhance students’ social, educational and personal development. Supervise staff and maintain relationships with other university offices and helps to maintain facilities and operations of the residence halls. |
Scope of Responsibilities |
Responsible for the supervision of the residents and activities of assigned residence hall. Monitor the daily operations of the front office. Report all repairs to appropriate individuals. Provide supervision and assistance to graduate assistants, resident assistants and student workers to ensure that the best possible services are provided. Responsible for accurate inventory of all student rooms for damages and repairs. Enforcing all University and Residence Life policies and for walking the hallways on a daily basis. Establish an atmosphere conducive to living and learning in the residence halls. |
Essential Job Functions |
• Assist with the day-to-day operations and the opening/closing of residence halls. |
Qualifications |
Undergraduate degree required; relevant work experience in student development, especially residence life preferred. Candidates pursuing an advanced degree in Higher Education/Student Personnel Service or a related field are encouraged to apply. |

• Ability to communicate effectively, possess excellent organizational skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must be able to think clearly and work in a crisis situation. |
