Description
Excels in teamwork.Adheres to set guidelines, policies, and time schedules. Prepares next shiftfor success (including but not limited to: restocking, cleaning, freshsanitizer, clean utensils and cooking tools).
Utilizes LeanPath forall discarded food waste. Assists in the completion of service records.Knowledgeable of basic knife skills, food safety, kitchen etiquette, andwritten/oral communication.
Works stations in aclean, organized, and sanitized manner. Utilized FIFO inventory practices,correct product labeling, and storage guidelines. Assists in maintaining foodstorage areas in a clean, organized, and sanitized fashion.
Completes stationchecklists, side duties, and special clean ups as assigned. Participates inongoing development and food safety training for staff. Assists in the trainingand development of new employees. Ensures food quality and safety requirementsare met in accordance to all standards.
Prepares and followsdaily prep sheets and recipes according to Chef and FoodPro. Monitors andcontrols product on lines. Maintains a high degree of pace and intensity for anextended period of time. Assist in adhering to and accurately completing foodproduction and service records.
Excellent customerservice. In addition to "other duties as assigned", this position maybe required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility inorder to provide both backup for a department as well as to supplementresources needed during certain times of the year.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and one year experience working in institutional quantity cooking. Technical training in commercial food service (CFS) or child nutrition preferred.
