Within the COAS, The Creative Media Industries Institute (CMII) is seeking to hire a Project Manager. This is a new position that will work with the Executive Director and the core faculty group in a newly-created entity. This position will develop and implement protocols to support faculty, student, and external partner objectives. A key priority is the successful execution of internal and external technology and production-connected projects. We seek an experienced project manager with the leadership skills to help identify and facilitate new business and research opportunities by maintaining close ties to the region’s creative industries, and able to impressively communicate the prospects for academic and industry collaborations, so that CMII work remains state of the art.
The scope of responsibilities for this position include these essential duties, but is not limited to the following,

Coordinate, manage and track workforce, budgets and resource allocation for Institute projects, including development of a database of potential contract hires or freelance solutions. Effectively manage relationships with industry partners, and help to cultivate new ones. Support faculty work given their project interest in business development or grants-supported research activity, ensuring their successful execution.
- Implement a growth strategy to facilitate new research initiatives and revenue streams. Foster commitment to the growth and evolution of the Institute as a globally recognized digital content creation lab.
- Partner with development and fundraising staff as needed in marketing and promoting the institute by leveraging existing relationships with the press, tapping into social media, and facilitating CMII-hosted industry and academic events.
- Define specific roles and responsibilities for other staff and contract hires to sustain the professional operation of the Institute for key constituencies.
- Develop and implement Institute policies for core production work.
- Perform other professional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
