Position Summary
The successful candidate will provide day to day operation of the departments undergraduate teaching labs (setup, cleaning, repair, computer/experiment troubleshooting and inventory); provide operation, maintenance, and support of the departments 5 axis aerosol jet printing system; performs the department's annual inventory and support the operation of the department's technical services facility (support student design projects, computer repair, software installation and programming research equipment repair and fabrication, and documentation).
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge normally acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Electrical Engineering or Physics and significant course study in Chemistry; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in fabrication techniques, mechanical and electronic drafting, computer systems programming, audio, R-F, and digital electronics; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
2D and 3D CAD/CAM software experience.
Windows computer programming (Python, MS Visual Studio, National Instruments Lab
Experience in repair and troubleshooting of analog, audio, digital and RF circuits.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.
Required Application Materials
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Residence and have working experience of Autodesk software in order to operate the aerosol jet printer.
