Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse to join a dynamic academic Department of Rehabilitation Medicine within the NeuroMusculoskeletal Institute. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of an interdisciplinary team. Opportunities to teach the next generation of leaders in the medical field are a part of this position. In support of SOM’s mission and vision, the selected candidate will provide and manage direct patient care at one or more of the out-patient clinical offices located in the Southern New Jersey area.
Working collaboratively with a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician and under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director, the Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) provides care to patients seeking pain management and outpatient detox. The APN provides consultation to clinical staff regarding patient care issues, and may also provide patient education to meet the needs of the patient and families. Participates in a collegial relationship with the physicians, nurses and other health care professionals. Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment for the patient's care.
The candidate must hold the following:
• Valid NJ nursing license
• An advanced nursing degree
• CDS license
• DEA license
