Position Information

This recruitment will be used to establish a pool of candidates for current and future part-time, temporary appointments. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work schedule to be arranged. The position will involve the provision of the following: The full range of individual and group psychological services to students from a wide range of multicultural backgrounds presenting complex psychosocial, social, personal, and family problems; crisis/suicide intervention and trauma response/debriefing; consultation, prevention education, and training services to individuals (e.g., students, faculty, staff, parents, administrators), campus groups (e.g., student clubs, residence hall communities, fraternities, sororities) and organizational units (e.g., Associated Students, University College's Academic Departments, Student Affairs Offices). Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $5,790 per month (full-time equivalent). CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,263 - $9,848 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications A doctorate in behavioral sciences, counseling, psychology, or a related academic field, or a California license as a Psychologist, Marriage & Family Therapist or Clinical Social Worker. Candidates must have experience and clinical effectiveness with cross cultural counseling approaches with ethnically and culturally diverse clients and communities.
